To coincide with the release of Devil's Broom, 14th Floor Records is proud to present the first solo exhibition of paintings by Joseph Arthur - 10-12th February 2006 at Vertigo Gallery, 62 Gt Eastern St, Shoreditch, London. EC2A 3QR. FREE - Opening Times: 10am-6pm.This will span the art created amidst the tension of live performance that Joseph has become famous for - large, raw, unstretched canvases with immediate, impulsive renderings, often in mixed media and arresting fluorescence - to the more highly developed work of late, which draws upon the same symbolic references, characters and themes of the live shows, but investigates further into layering, colour, technique and depth.
